Rochester's self-promotingest rockers will be back in the studio in September to record
a brand new album. There will probably be a December release, just not sure which year yet.
Also, set your tivo right now, the Isotopes will appear on WXXI (channel 21, cable 11) on Sunday, December 28th.
It's an hour of lively political debate and cooking tips, missing it would kinda suck.
Thanks to the city of Buffalo and Red Bull energy drink for the great time we had last weekend. The Red Bull guys really
took care of us and we appreciate it. As far as we're concerned it doesn't matter that their beverage tastes like crap and makes
us do things we regret the next morning. Check out a ton of pictures from the show up on buffalo.com:
Topes Photos.
Today the Isotopes had band practice and didn't have to play a single crappy cover song. It rocked.
Our radio appearance on Kimberly and Beck from this morning is now up in our press section.
Click here to listen to the best segment in Rochester morning radio history. To be fair, Wease is pretty easy to top.

Our brand new movie shorts, the Isotopes' Public Service Announcement and the Merchandise Commercial, have been added to this
site for your viewing pleasure. Check out these and all the other sweet vids we've created on our Video Page.
The last show of the year will be the karoake show at the Bug Jar the night before Thanksgiving. Bass playing extraordinaire
Trent Steele has a baby on the way later this month, and guitar shredding ace Lance Uppercut is expecting in December. All the
best to these two in the future and we look forward to their eventual replacements. Go Topes!

Finally the new CD has been released! If you didn't make it out to the show last night, you better have a good excuse.
Thanks to everyone in the packed room for coming out and supporting us. Everyone who was there witnessed the debuts of
Go-Go Dancers Molly Tov Cocktease and Jean Creamer and keyboard player Dick Fitzwell. All fine additions to a lineup that
was already pretty freakin' sweet.
If you're here to see the two new videos we premiered last night, they're not up
yet, but very soon. Check back.

Everyone who came down to the parade for Labor Day got their doctor recommended daily dose of rock from, you guessed it,
the Isotopes! We should have some new photos and video from it up here soon.
Coming up is the much anticipated CD release
show for Sounds of the Subatomic World, the Isotopes first full-length release in 3.5 years. Along with this release,
the Topes will be unveiling 2 brand new video shorts that were just filmed. Warning: after watching the merchandise commercial,
you will buy multiple t-shirts.

Brand new videos from the Water Street show have been added to our Video Page. Check out
some of the highlights of the night including the swing classic Sing, Sing, Sing and guest singer Kevin O'Connor performing
Neil Diamond's America. There are six vids in all and we'll probably add more soon because the video came out SWEET!!!

Holy crap there were a lot of people at Water Street this past Friday. Thanks to everyone who made it out,
except for those guys who were stabbing themselves. They probably should've stayed home. Next time there's an
act between bands, we'll try to find one that doesn't tell the audience to "f*ck off" while performing. Of course,
preceding and following the Topes is not easy.
Make sure to check back to this site soon, we'll have video
from the show that was probably our biggest production to date. BML went out with a bang and we really appreciate them
setting up that show so we could make up for the January debacle.
New CD by the end of summer. . .maybe.

Some bands might take some time off when their drummer breaks his ankle, not the
Isotopes! In their hiatus your heroes learned at least one or two new songs and I think
Handsome changed some notes in one of the solos.
Most importantly though, they redesigned
their website to reflect the band's asskickery and sweetitude! This slick new design is intended
to optimize the user experience through strategically positioned media and navigational simplicity.
Please let us know what you think, email the Topes:

The Isotopes were not able to perform at their last scheduled show Jan. 26
at Water Street Music Hall. Unfortunately, although he rarely gets the better of us,
Atom Smasher was able to sabotage the show by breaking Hercules Rockefeller's ankle.
Thanks to Tom Foolery and the Shannanighans for
stepping up at the last minute and filling in for us.
The Topes will out of
commission for a few months but watch for a return in the Spring. Also, there will
be a brand new CD coming out soon.

Thanks to everyone who came down to the Bug Jar for our Annual Christmas Show. Those
people who were close enough to the stage got to see our brand new movie The Making of:
How the Isotopes Saved Easter (A Sneak Peak). Now it's available to those who didn't
elbow their way to the front. Check out our Video Page to watch
the new movie and a couple of songs from that show.

The new disc has been recorded and we can humbly say that it is the
best recording ever made by a Rochester band. But that shouldn't surprise
anyone. What should surprise you is that we're actually charitable enough
to have a couple of the brand new songs available for FREE on our website!
Go to our Audio Page to check out the new tunes.

Thanks to everyone who made the voyage on the Genesee River with
the Isotopes. The event was such a success that we may just do another
one in the Spring, but with a bigger boat and more drugs. Watch for
video clips from that event appearing on the site soon.
In other news, the Topes return to the studio with their newest addition,
guitarist Lance Uppercut, in mid-October. The new CD will be available
in early 2007.

So the Topes had another run-in with their arch-nemisis Atom Smasher,
this time on 98.9FM. We have updated our Press page
with audio from that radio appearance. Also, any time an Isotope or
any member of their immediate or extended family is mentioned in any
type of publication, you'll find it on the press page just to make it
look like we get a ton of pub. Perhaps Atom Smasher is right, we really
are the most over-exposed band in Rochester. Oh wait, I forgot about
that band with the old people in it, Atomic Swindlers.
Also, our Merchandise page has been redesigned
and updated with all the latest Topes' merch. Except of course for those
items that would land us in federal prison with Tommy Chong.

sweet footage from our show at the Bug Jar over Memorial Day weekend.
Extra special thanks to Mike Schroedder and Marty Sindon for filming

beautiful go-go dancers as well as the smokin' hot Eddie Nebula, our
guest musician that night.

show review!

The Isotopes are five! The month of January marks The Isotopes
five year anniversary. Yep in this month five years ago The Isotopes
were born and weighed 6 lbs 2 ounces and their genitals weighed
in at a massive 150 lbs. So make sure you
email us and wish
us a Happy Birthday. Or don't... fine.
"Congratulations guys, from the moment I met ya I knew that you
all were a pretty big deal. Thanks for shattering any hopes I had
of a professional announcing career. Mazel Tov!"

Wonder what happened to theisotopes.com all last week? Were you
going through withdrawal by not being able to view the most prolific
"scientist/musician/underwear model" guys around? Well we're back
now. Our super computer, Commodore 64, crashed and it never backed
itself up. Bad 64, ...bad. Anyways, we are back up on our new super
computer, Colecovision, and are running like Chesty LaRue's fishnet
stockings after she gets done loading our equipment for us. Thanks
for your patience and you can now resume your lustful, tissue filled
late nights of viewing... The Isotopes website.

see the movie because the setup totally sucked? Great news, the
movie is now available on this site for your viewing and downloading

Also, as if you didn't get enough cool crap from the Topes for
Christmas, we now have tracks from our newly recorded, yet-to-be

Ho ho ho! The Isotopes have begun (and almost completed) shooting
for "How The Isotopes Save Christmas", the new "family" oriented
special from The Isotopes movie director Greg Herman. The
'Topes have only one chance to save Christmas (and their unbelievably
kick ass Xmas show) from their evil arch nemesis, Atom Smasher.
Will the 'Topes save Christmas? Will Santa survive to deliver
all of your presents? Will the Topes ever get a budget larger
than $100 worth of beer, drugs and Santa suit rentals? 2 out
of 3 ain't bad. Be sure to check out this blockbuster production
featuring a cast of local faves and of course, the Isotopes GoGos.
Look out for the brand new Isotopes pint glasses available at the
next show, picture soon.

people. For anyone who wasn't at our CD release show... oh
wait... the whole damn city of Rochester was there. But seriously
the CD is out and we are getting more press than ever. Check
out the Merch section soon to see all our
new Topes junk and how to get your own copy of the CD that is being
called "The best CD not to feature 50 Cent and Ludacris".
