For the past few months the Topes have been operating - albeit flawlessly - with just two go go dancers.
Well, we've had enough of that. The next time the Topes take the stage will mark the triumphant return
of Hootie McBoob. Which one is that? I don't remember either, I've never looked at her above the neck. See you at the Bug Jar!

Well, it's officially summer here in Rochester, as if you couldn't tell by the
ten inches of rain or those hot 'n hazy mid-60's temperatures. To celebrate the season,
The Isotopes will be pleasuring themselves in your ear canals (figuratively, of course)
with their third annual slots at the Park Ave Fest and East End Festival! We'll also be
scorching the Earth at our debut to the Monroe County Fair. Come join us!

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who made it down to the German House last night for the taping of our first ever live DVD that we will release later this year. It was a great turn out and
Mulletude crushed.
note: The following has been edited because of a legal issue we're extremely proud of:Now on to the unpleasant stuff. The owner of the German House, Ed
So-and-so, is a total boner taster. He watched us set up and sound check for an hour. We then went downstairs and bought food from his establishment. When we came back up, he wouldn't let us in the show without a ticket. I'm serious. When we told the security guy that we were in the Isotopes he said "Who?". Who?!?! The mother fuckin' Isotopes motherfucker!!! Anyways, there were many other problems with that douche Ed
So-and-so and for all the hassles he's earned the coveted boner taster of the month award. Congratulations Edward
So-and-so, how does that boner taste? I sure hope you sit around googling your name.
note posted 7/21/11 - he did :)

favorite guest musicians, all at a recession-friendly price. Are we swell guys or what?

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction...
The Isotopes have finally assumed their rightful place as a historically significant
cultural force by being included in The George Eastman House exhibit
Where We Live.
The collection spans from the first photograph of Rochester in 1845 to the
September 17, 2009 outdoor bash with The Topes in the South Wedge. As you already knew,
Kodak's founder was a huge fan of face-melting instrumental rock 'n roll.
The exhibit runs through January 24th.
Speaking of face-melting, the Topes have just returned from beautiful
Watchmen Studios and posted a
NEW MP3!!!! Looks like Christmas came early this year.

Due to an "unfortunate" incident the Isotopes were forced to leave the Barn Bash. This wouldn't have been a big deal
but it was before we were scheduled to perform. I'm pretty sure that was the main reason they asked us to come down.
Our apologies to anyone who was hoping to catch us yesterday, we'll make it up to you by melting your face next time.
In
other news, there's a rumor that the Topes might just be hosting a sick New Year's Eve party this year so keep your calendar
clear and check back for details. There will only be three more New Years before the Apocalypse so you might want to make the most
of them (hint: get a baby sitter).

we perform at half time on the 10th of October. There are more lesbians than you can shake a vibrator at. Good times!

A big thank you to the hundreds of drunks who joined us at Dragonfly for the Park Ave Fest!
Don't worry, those bruises should clear up in a week or two. In other news, apparently "viewers
like you" have been donating some killer weed to the folks at WXXI, because they ran our OnStage
re-broadcast two weeks ahead of schedule. No worries, you can check out our
video page for some clips - some were too hot for TV in the first place.
We also put up more pics of our triumphant set at East Ave fest,
finalized the booze cruise, and scheduled the annual Xmas show. I guess we'll get around to
writing some decent music at some point, too. See you at the bug jar!

Another year, another East End Fest devastated by the Isotopes. A big thanks goes
out to our friends at The Insider, who gave us the stage and took some
photos for insurance purposes.
Some joker also posted some completely unauthorized video
- it sounds like pickled bunghole, but The Isotopes have never really been about the music anyway.
(Check the video page for some officially sanctioned motion pictures).
See you in August, suckas!

Holy Media Blitz Batman! The Isotopes have been promoting their triumphant return to the stage
and the special remastered re-release of Real Instrumental Heroes by appearing on a series
of radio shows. We were on The WBER Local Show and The Wease Show in a single week,
and those programs couldn't be more different. One was a long, drawn-out, boring, unfortunate
experience in the sadness of the human spirit - and the other was on a college station on a
Sunday night.
In other news, we've added a a whole new page
to our photos section and we'll see you at our second annual East End Fest appearance this Saturday!

In other news, Admiral Awesome, the new drummer, is now up to speed and
rocking hard at band practice. This has caused amps to get turned up and go-gos to get turned on. It'll be a slippery stage the next time
your heroes perform. See you there.

We've been updating the crap out of this website. Just about every section has new media for you to devour. Make sure to check out the
Video Page for new live performance video from WXXI's OnStage (including songs that didn't air) and footage shot at the
Bug Jar in August that we were totally unaware of. We also updated the sh*t out of the Photos Section. Some shots are pretty spank
worthy. Also, anyone interested in purchasing the latest CD, Real Instrumental Heroes, may do so on this site: Click Here.
Admiral Awesome,
known for his vibraphone work with the Topes, has signed on as the new drummer! We'll get the Admiral up to speed and be back out playing shows in a few
months. Check back for show updates.
Coming soon will be video from the show on Christmas night featuring the brand new Isotopes Go Go Dancers.

the tracks available for download here and on iTunes. Check back soon.
Also, watch for a ton of video content coming
to the site soon. If you missed the WXXI show that aired back on December 28th, you spent your time very poorly! We'll have
songs from that, from our show Christmas night, and Bobby T's birthday show back in August all up soon. Try not to J in your P.

As many of you know, our new CD Real Instrumental Heroes did not arrive in time for our CD release show,
which really brightened our holiday. Very soon we'll be sending out a link to a digital version of the entire album to
everyone who signed up at the show. If you're interested in getting a copy, please email us:
spitbeer@theisotopes.com.
Finally, a huge thanks to everyone who came out and spent their Christmas night with us,
we had a great time. However, someone left with one of our go go dancers. She's the one with three holes who looks really surprised
all the time. Listen, we just want her back, there will be no questions asked.
We wish Hercules Rockefeller the best of luck
on his future endeavors. His percussion and armpit fart sounds will be missed!

Best Local Band Website! We couldn't agree more. This site is full of sweet music, pics, videos, and hilarious news updates.
Well music, pics and videos anyway. It's a good thing City has informed the public about this epic site because the Isotopes are much too
humble to promote it themselves.
Tomorrow morning the
Isotopes will be appearing on the Kimberly and Beck show on 98.9 The Buzz to promote the
super sweet karaoke show next week at the Bug Jar. See everyone at the show!

The last show of the year will be the karoake show at the Bug Jar the night before Thanksgiving. Bass playing extraordinaire
Trent Steele has a baby on the way later this month, and guitar shredding ace Lance Uppercut is expecting in December. All the
best to these two in the future and we look forward to their eventual replacements. Go Topes!

Go-Go Dancers Molly Tov Cocktease and Jean Creamer and keyboard player Dick Fitzwell. All fine additions to a lineup that

Holy crap there were a lot of people at Water Street this past Friday. Thanks to everyone who made it out,
except for those guys who were stabbing themselves. They probably should've stayed home. Next time there's an
act between bands, we'll try to find one that doesn't tell the audience to "f*ck off" while performing. Of course,
preceding and following the Topes is not easy.
Make sure to check back to this site soon, we'll have video
from the show that was probably our biggest production to date. BML went out with a bang and we really appreciate them
setting up that show so we could make up for the January debacle.

Some bands might take some time off when their drummer breaks his ankle, not the
Isotopes! In their hiatus your heroes learned at least one or two new songs and I think
Handsome changed some notes in one of the solos.
Most importantly though, they redesigned
their website to reflect the band's asskickery and sweetitude! This slick new design is intended
to optimize the user experience through strategically positioned media and navigational simplicity.

So the Topes had another run-in with their arch-nemisis Atom Smasher,
this time on 98.9FM. We have updated our Press page
with audio from that radio appearance. Also, any time an Isotope or
any member of their immediate or extended family is mentioned in any
type of publication, you'll find it on the press page just to make it
look like we get a ton of pub. Perhaps Atom Smasher is right, we really
are the most over-exposed band in Rochester. Oh wait, I forgot about
that band with the old people in it, Atomic Swindlers.
Also, our Merchandise page has been redesigned

kick ass Xmas show) from their evil arch nemesis, Atom Smasher.
Will the 'Topes save Christmas? Will Santa survive to deliver
all of your presents? Will the Topes ever get a budget larger
than $100 worth of beer, drugs and Santa suit rentals? 2 out
